Best Air Fryer Under $100
An air fryer is a game changer if you’re trying to eat healthy but still enjoy fried foods. This small appliance is going to let you get the fried foods you enjoy without the excess fat. These devices are like a convection oven, as there is a fan inside circulating the heat. However, unlike a convection oven, the fan is at the top of the unit and blows the air downward onto the food.
The air flow begins at the top and it rushes on and around your food through a mesh basket. At the bottom of the unit, there is a drip tray that collects any fat that may drop off the food. Then the air circulates back to the top. This continues until the timer stops and your food is done.
When you’re hoping to find the best air fryer, it’s a good idea that you choose the right fryer for you. You don’t want to choose a unit that is too small because you’re going to be limited by what you can make and how much you can make.
There are three main factors when you are choosing an air fryer:
Like everything in life, size is going to matter. You’re going to be paying quite a bit of money for an air fryer, so you think you may as well go for the bigger option. Going with a bigger appliance is a common mistake that many people make when buying an appliance, especially an air fryer. You shouldn’t automatically assume that you’re going to need a large fryer.
You’re going to want to choose the appropriate size for the needs of your family. For example, if it’s just you, you aren’t going to need a large unit that can cook up to 2.5 pounds of food!
Also, when you choose a larger device, it is going to cost more in electricity (especially if you plan on using the fryer regularly), but it is also going to determine how efficient the unit is and how much time it takes to cook your food. So, needless to say, the size of your machine is going to be important.
Figuring out the settings on any appliance can be a little difficult. However, when you have a product that is easy to figure out, it can make all the difference in the world! Most air fryers are capable of reaching temperatures close to 400 degrees and they have adjustable temperature settings.
Also, most fryers have timers that you can set so that your food always comes out perfectly. However, there are some units that do not have these features, which can make air frying more difficult and your results will not be as consistent.
In our opinion, the best air fryer is going to be one with preset cooking settings, a digital touch screen, and it will also have a wide range of temperatures that it can reach. In most instances, when a fryer has this many options, you’ll be able to fine tune them so you can get the best cook from your air fryer.
As we previously mentioned, air fryers can range in price from really affordable to quite expensive. It’s important that before you set out to buy any old fryer, you need to have your budget in mind. While you want to think about the settings and the size of your fryer, you don’t want to miss a bill payment because your family wanted fried chicken.
It is worth pointing out that just because you may be on a tight budget, that means you are going to have to skimp on the features. It is very possible to find a unit with great features at a size that is right for your family within your price range.
With that said, let’s take a look at give great options that we think are worth your consideration. We have two options that are over $100 and three that are under $100. So, no matter what your budget may be, we’re certain you’ll find something that you’ll like.
